Andrew Merry

Andrew Merry has had over 15 years professional photography experience. His work has been widely exhibited and included in photographic collections and has also been published in magazines and books. Andrew is interested in both the history of photography and in analysing the shifts in representation that have occurred in the digital era.

Tertiary and Professional Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Arts, majors in Art History & Political Science, The University of Queensland, Australia.
    • Master of Photography with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP).
    • Associate Diploma of Arts Applied Photography, SQIT.

2003  Gold Award at the AIPP Australian Professional Photography Awards, Melbourne.

2002  Third prize and acquisition, McGregor Prize for Photography.

2000  Photo-essay of millennium celebrations published in Brisbane Celebrates- A Snapshot in Time book and exhibition.
